Yoga: The Simple Gift of Movement and Breath
In the yoga tradition, Prana, or life force, is within and around everything in nature. Breath is the vehicle for prana within the body. If the breath is restricted, prana will not flow easily. Yoga unites breath and movement to ease this restriction and allows prana to stream steadily through the body. In this 90 minute slow, contemplative practice, we will explore ways to combine the “simple gifts” of breath and movement to focus the mind and bring steadiness and ease to the body. All levels of yoga experience are welcome.

A Celebration of Light
The darkest, shortest days of winter have finally passed and the sun is starting to make its ascent toward the highest point in the heavens. Meanwhile, during the long, cold nights of mid-winter, the moon kept vigil, rising to mid-heaven and shining ever so brightly, reflecting the light of the concealed sun, reminding us that the darkness is just a cycle of nature. Join us for a celebration of these two heavenly lights. After warming up and centering, we’ll welcome the sun through pranayama and a vigorous, heat-building set of sun salutations. Then we will transition to a slower, cooling flow of moon salutations in gratitude to the moon for its mid-winter light. So, just direct your feet to the sunny side of the street and join us for this celebration of light.

Tapping into our Divine Intuition
With all the venues for communication, it has become rather common to share our lived experiences by broadcasting our hopes, dreams, fears and reality to the outside world. When faced with a difficult situation, we often default to these external forces for assistance in determining our next course of action. Yet instead of crafting your story for an outside audience, what if you developed your ability to truly trust the answer is within you. Through the practice of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion, we begin the process of activating one's divine intuition, facilitating the ability to rebuild, enhance or commence your relationship, with yourself. All are welcome to join us in this 90-minute yoga class composed of intentional breath work, flowing yoga sequences and meditation. Dedicate some precious time for yourself!
