Yin Yoga was designed by the ancient sages to open the intricate webbing of connective tissue that connects our muscles and holds them together from head to toe. The ancient sages used asanas to strengthen the body, so that they could sit for long periods in contemplative meditation. The sensations you feel from long periods of sitting stem from the deep, yin connective tissues and the joints opposed to the more superficial yang tissues of muscles and skin.

Yin Yoga opens up these deep, dense, rarely touched areas. In this practice we will be holding deep opening asanas for 3-5 minutes while absorbing the healing and powerful vibrations of the Crystal Singing Bowls. The vibration of the Singing Bowls will work in conjunction with the asanas to enhance the opening of deep connective tissue, cleanse your joints, rejuvenate your cells, and clear your mind. We will end with a guided meditation accompanied by the Crystal Singing Bowls.

This promises to be a powerful healing and transformational experience, and is open to all levels.
