pranassage

Grab a partner and unwind!

Pranassage® is a creative synthesis of yoga and bodywork that produces profound relaxation. Rooted in Eastern tradition, the “magic” of Pranassage comes from the manipulation of prana (chi in Chinese medicine), the body’s intelligent life force – the energy behind your heartbeat, the pulses of your nervous system and the flow of your breath. Pranassage offers a unique opportunity to work directly with this energy – to resynchronize the mind and body and experience deep release.

In this 2-hour workshop, you and your partner will guide each other into gentle stretches and yoga postures while applying appropriate touch and pressure to trigger the body’s relaxation response. Each partner will feel refreshed and re- energized – ready to settle into the weekend and beyond.

Though Pranassage is not romantic it does require a willingness to touch and be touched. Feel free to bring your own partner, or we’ll match you with someone in the group. Please arrive fresh and clean and without strong perfumes or deodorants, especially if you’ll be paired with someone in the class.
